Management Plans: what are they and why do we need them?

Five Management Plans document how we will conduct ourselves to ensure the protection of the environment and surrounding community.

The conditions of our Fast Track Consent include a range of management plans which document how we will conduct ourselves to ensure the protection of the surrounding environment and of the community. Our advisors and contractor prepare these plans, which are then certified by both Whakatāne District Council and Bay of Plenty Regional Council.  These include:

  • Construction Management Plan (certified)

  • Erosion and Sediment Control Plan (certified)

  • Construction, Noise and Vibration Management Plan (certified)

  • Traffic Management Plan (certified)

  • Site and Soil Contamination Management Plan (to be certified post recent additional testing)

We have completed a thorough process to appoint and award the contract, however Stage One requires the final certified management plan to be signed off by Whakatāne District Council and Bay of Plenty Regional Council. Construction can begin once this plan is complete.
